Low and Ultra-low Profile Medical Fabric

Secant Medical Components offers low and ultra-low profile medical fabric to help streamline our customer development of next-generation EVAR, heart valve devices, and other cardiovascular applications. This state-of-the-art textile enables transcatheter delivery by minimizing fabric thickness and can be customized to meet device performance requirements. Engineered with PET fibers using our woven fabric-forming technology, Secant Medical Components offers eight variations of our qualified low-profile materials.

Our custom-designed fabrics can be tuned to meet any performance criteria and can be cut and packaged to meet your specifications. Medical device manufacturers can work with the Secant Group development engineering teams to design a unique fabric component to meet their device requirements. The monofilament polypropylene knit mesh is a medical-grade, non-absorbable biomedical textile structure that provides a thin profile for ease of implantation. Our transparent meshes are engineered to have the ideal pore size to achieve desired tissue in-growth. Its thin, low-profile structure is ideal for percutaneous delivery. The looped-yarn structure provides strength, durability, and conformability to accommodate tissue function. This biocompatible material is manufactured with a validated process and engineered with industry-proven PET to minimize an inflammatory tissue response.
